What sounds funny is unfortunately bitter reality in some cases. There are numerous instances where former professional athletes fall into a pit after their active careers.

The Blueprint Athlete by Mario Götze
Those who follow Mario on LinkedIn are aware that he is one of the few professional athletes who have been preparing for a second career outside of sports early on. Collaborations with globally renowned brands, building a personal brand, real estate ventures, stocks, investments in startups - the footballer is active in many fields.
